This years class features 11 up and comers: Big K.R.I.T., Diggy Simmons,Yelawolf, Cyhi Da Prynce, Mac Miller, Lil Twist, YG, Lil B, Fred The Godson, Kendrick Lamar and Meek Mill.
Honestly I don't think this list is that bad, I'm sure people gonna say, (just to say a few)
"Lil' B shouldn't be on there, he sucks" My explanation - Every video this dude drop has like a million youtube(not counting wshh) hits, no other possible replacement can beat that. Dude has a really loyal following.. (technically he's not a freshmen)
"Lil Twist sucks, Lil' Wayne must have paid for him to get on the list" My explanation - And so what? A co-sign from Lil Wayne should probably not even need a explanation (not that I even like Weezy), not to mention he's done the 106 and park thing so the average teenie bopper knows who he is, resulting in actual sells..
YG is a ughhh :-/ but 6 million views isn't bad...
Last note before I end the world's longest comment... The XXL Freshmen issue has always been a birth and a death to all the artist involved.. Some careers take off, ( B.O.B., Kid Cudi, Wiz) Some fizzle out (Asher Roth, Mickey Factz. Blu) and others fall the fuck off Charles Hamilton...
