It's finally here.. Jigz comes thru w/ his most recent project to bring in the New Years right. Presented by Be All Mighty, F.L.Y.E.R.S.& Bulldog Bikes Worldwide, we give you
The homie Steve-O takes a stab at the Too Deep For The Introbeat. This was probably my favorite joint off Friday Night Lights so it's good to hear someone else over it. Be on the look out for his upcoming mixtape, The Face On Mars.. which with be available for download right here on New Years.
Here's a promo for the Ski Beatz24HR Karate School Japan release and party, taking place on New Years. This will feature all Japanese artist over the original 24HRKS tracks. I find this extremely fascinating. Hopefully more footage of this project to come.
Ok, now Ima Dipset fan as much as a the next man. That doesn't mean I listen to every track they put out. I'll be honest and say this one was missed. Caught this today on MTV Jams and I must say I'm really feeling it (prod. by araabMUSIK). I see you Capo..
Siul Hughes and Bueffard Mallary chop it up about their thoughts of the state of hip hop out of Connecticut, great things to come out of the Elm City and more. Check it out
Looks like it's another classic Nas beat for Young Simmons (no Jojo) He did his thing yet again though. This one off Past Presents Future, dropping December 23rd.
Hussle hooks up with westcoast legend Kokane on his Marathon and quest to resurface the West coast on the mainstream map. (even thought the West is dong it the largest in the "blog" scene in my opinion)
Khalifa decided to premier his latest Lex Luger produced track during a hometown Pittsburgh show.
Wiz is one more cliche song away from selling out in my opinion. I've been a long time fan (well before his K&OJ fame) and I've noticed he's been going to a lot of hip hop's "go-to's" since the deal. If something is working for you well enough to gain the kind of interest he did, why change the formula? Since the deal, I havent heard one Juliano leak or one Sledgren leak but he's released joints by Stargate (Black and Yellow was tight though, I cant fake on it) The Bizness and now Lex Luger to name a few. Now don't get me wrong, I'm hella happy for his success and wish nothing but the best for his movement but as a fan, I really don't wanna see him pull a Drake (see: Comeback Season)
"In 1976, complex political and emotional forces are set in motion when a young man returns to the race-torn Philadelphia neighborhood where he came of age during the Black Power movement" I find this very interesting and hopefully it's playing near by.
..oh and did I mention The Roots provide the score for the film and Black Thought has a starring role. For more on the film, go to their official sitehere.
Over Vince Guaraldi's instrumental from the classic, A Charlie Brown Christmas. This really puts me in the holiday spirit. I'll have to add this to my ugly sweater party playlist.
I know, I know. This tape came out a few day's ago and we're a little late posting it. Usually if it's too late after the release, I wont even post it but sheesh this shit is fresh... now watch him buzz.
Why would you have The Black Keys perform live in your studio and only record audio?
Anyways, they do a bunch of cuts off Brothersand answer some questions, enjoy.
Inspired John F. Kennedy, this Concepts & New Balance collab recently grazed the cover of the 20th issue of Sneaker Freaker. "Kennedy’s love of sailing forms the basis of the sneaker’s design with the use of sailing flags as a theme through the liner. Different materials also occupy the upper such as ripstop nylon, suede and mesh" - hb. They will be available this coming March.. and yes Rob, I will get these before you.

"Unfamiliar with the name? Well, if you’ve ever picked up an issue of Complex, VIBE or XXL (among other publications) over the past decade or so you’ve seen his work. The current EIC of Complex Magazine sat down with Al Lindstrom to speak on a variety of topics, from his times at ego trip and Blaze to today’s current journalism climate." -2DB
Alfie and I had the pleasure of meeting Henry and Eric of Roadside Manor the other day and I gotta say they're some cool dudes. On top of that, their music is refreshing and from what I hear their live shows are amazing. No wonder they're the first local band to headline CT's Toad's Place in nearly 10 years! Peep their music below and be sure to check them out this Saturday.
You can't put Flying Lotus around musicians as good as this and not expect great work.
Listen to the full session and interview below. Also, check out his Cosmogramma album out now.
